For my future husband.

I don't know the real meaning of love. But when I hear your voice I can feel my heart skip a beat. when we are together, it feels like I'm a part of some fairy tale. I may not know the real meaning of love. Maybe, love is just the way I feel for you.. I love you Mike.

School and Weddings are similar to oil and water

So as some of you know Michael and I have a long distance relationship. (possibly will until we get married) and it SUCKS. Im soooo ready to be done with school here in Cedar and I wish Mike was even just a year from being done but.... yeah we won't even go there. hahah But I will be finished with my year at Evans October 20th. which I'm hoping will make planning this wedding a lot easier on me.
We've been lucky enough to get to see each other every weekend since he moved to Utah but those weekdays near kill the both of us. With my state tests coming up and Mike having just started a couple of weeks ago.. the every weekend thing has to switch to every other weekend (hopefully!!) You think that I would have learned patience waiting two years for the man but I think it made it worse anytime im away from him.

December PLEASE hurry and get here!!!!

I said YES... to the Dress!

Today I found my dress. I didn't go store to store, rack to rack, or dress to dress. I just stood around and people dressed me in pieces of this and that for a couple of hours. It was lovely! After YEARS of watching "Say yes to the dress" and different wedding shows I had this idea of dress shopping being something comparable to a R.L. Stein book or Tim Burton film; I was pleasantly surprised to have a Nicholas Sparks moment.

I had heard of Gowns by Pamela a few times but never really thought much of it, but after trying on a dress at a different bridal store that was 1,000 and NOT what I wanted at all but would have settled for... I decided to give renting a dress a shot. It was a GREAT experience! I told her what I wanted and she gave it too me exactly and even make suggestions of what would look good with what I liked without making me feel pressured or like it was going to cost me a ton extra to get what was going to make "the dress".

She worked with me on all my dates and I even get to take it to do Bridals when I need too! And it was so afforable! with alterations, veil, (a few other bride essentials)  and renting the dress for 2 weeks the dress what almost a steal. I never thought being a bigger girl I would really find a dress so beautiful and have so many options as well. I couldn't be happier with my dress and I can't wait to wear it for Mike. He is going crazy knowing everyone else gets to see it and he doesn't yet! Until next time!

WE'RE GETTING MARRIED!

Yes folks you read that right! we're officially engaged! It was the best weekend ever! That man sure does spoil me!  ....this post is going to have a lot of exclamation points if you can't already tell... but I'm sure you're all wanting the proposal story so here we go!
Mike told me he was taking me to a movie saturday and he kept asking when I would be there etc. etc. so i was SURE he was going to propose at dinner or something. Then around Tuesday he was acting super sad and he said my ring wasn't here. So I was not expecting anything for the weekend so a movie wasn't out of the ordinary and I thought it was his way of making it up to me.
He picked me up Saturday and we went to the American Fork Cinema. He already had tickets and he kept telling me that day we where going to see ice age 4. I was kinda excited to see it but when we got there he led me to a different screen and it said Madagascar 3. I hadn't seen the first two Madagascar's so i was super confused as to why he wanted to see that movie. but i didn't say much and just went with it.
we got in the theatre and sat down and Mike was kinda freakin out. his hands where clamy and sweaty and i thought he was getting sick... little did i know haha.... but he wouldn't hardly talk to me! I was so confused and just trying to make conversation (which was weird I never have to do that) but he just kept saying he was tired. WELL after sitting and waiting for a while it was surly past 7 and I didn't know why the movie wasn't starting..
Then "would you go with me" -Josh Turner started to play. I leaned over to tell Mike "hey i like this song!" and he was bending over pretending to tie his shoes and then the screen came up that said "would you go with me? Marry me Kylie" and I looked back over at Mike and he was on his knee with the most beautiful ring ever! at first I asked him if he was serious because I was in shock then I said yes, and then I was told him he was wayyyy to good of a lier; but all in all it was perfect. Perfect for us in every way.
We went to Pf Changs to celebrate together before we told people and our table was right next to President Uchdorf and his family who was also there eating. I was so star struck and still in shock from the beautiful ring on my finger. but it was the best night of our lives yet. something I'll never forget!

 I don't know what I did right in my life to deserve such a wonderful man, but I can't wait to spend the rest of eternity with him. It's cliche but, I am THEE luckiest woman in the world to have him as my future Husband.

The start of forever

Hi ya'll!

So now that we're engaged it's time to start the blog! It seems like an easier way to keep everyone updated on our lives besides Facebook. So let me sum up our lives up to this point.

Michael and I first met in middle school. So I guess that makes us middle school sweethearts? We where "in love" from the day we met and spent all our spare time together and the rest of that time secretly talking on the phone. After about a year, Mike's family decided to move back to California (talk about the worse day of a young dramatic girls life). But we decided to keep in contact over good ol' MSN and talking on the phone when we could. Then came the high school years. We remained friends and talked often but we where growing up and in different directions both dating new people and focused on school. After high school I moved up to Orem Utah to attend college at UVU while Mike stayed in California attending school and preparing for an LDS mission.

Michael left on his mission to Dallas Texas July 28, 2010. We were still just friends at that point and I didn't write him the first couple of months but around November I sent him a birthday package and it kind of just set off from there. We got more serious around his year mark and it went from there until July 16, 2012 he came home!
The Lyman family had a couple of reunions in Utah and Idaho, so they stopped in Cedar to see me on their way up. And I don't know what they teach those missionaries out there but that boy walked right up to me and kissed me! (talk about make a girl pass out!)
From that point on i've seen him almost every weekend and it's been the best 2 months of my life. 
We're getting married December 15th, 2012 in the San Diego Temple. We both can't wait! we've asked the parents and got everything in order just waiting for the official proposal and getting things on the road! Follow our blog for updates on wedding stuff and our new life together.
